It is with a very heavy heart that I announce that I will be closing my practice in Bremerton, Washington. As of April 1, 2011 I will be joining a colon and rectal surgeon in another state. While I will miss the Kitsap Peninsula I am confident that this is the best decision for my continued development as a colon and rectal surgeon and for my family.
As I am no longer providing patient care, I can no longer provide referrals. Therefore, I strongly encourage each of my patients to speak with their primary care provider or insurance company for referrals to other qualified specialists so that their care will not be interrupted any more than absolutely necessary by my departure. General surgery cases may be referred to any of the general surgeons in the area. For cases requiring a colon and rectal surgical specialist Drs Amir Bastawrous, Richard Billingham, and Rodney Kratz of Swedish Colon and Rectal Clinic, and Dr Gordon Klatt in Tacoma are all board certified colon and rectal surgeons who are willing to receive referrals for complex colon and rectal conditions.
